The Green Mile Run/Walk
|
ONE MILE RACE WITH PIZZA, AWARDS, DOOR PRIZES & MUSIC
Take part in this one mile run/walk on Friday, July 31st. Race starts at 7:00 pm at Wheeling's Heritage Port. Shirts guaranteed
to the first 250 registered participants. Pizza provided by Dominos Pizza. Refreshments provided and Wild Horse will provide
entertainment. Championchip timing by Runners High. Entry fee is $10.00 prior to the day of the race and $13.00 race day.
Registration and packet pickup is 4:30-6:30 pm SHARP! Post-race shower facilities available at CentreTown Fitness.

Green Mile Dedication
|
 The 2009 Green Mile will be in memory of George Kellas. George was a champion for "the little guy".
He loved his family, Ohio Valley Sports, was a fixture in the local media for over 30 years
and was a proud supporter of the Debbie Green 5K. George lost his battle with esophageal
cancer in February after a three year courageous fight. He will be dearly missed.

Championchip Timing
|
| This year's race will be timed by the The Runner's High using the championchip system. On race day, runners and walkers will be issued a rental computer chip, which is attached to the shoelace and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish line will record a finished time for each chip. Make sure you get the right chip assigned to you. All chips MUST be returned at the finish line or the participant will be assessed a non-refundable, unreturnable chip replacement fee of $35 . |
